The Board of Directors is responsible for the stewardship of the NWA from year to year, and concentrates primarily on fiscal, legal and personnel-related issues. Two members of the Board of Directors are also members ex officio of the Board of Advisors. Six of the five members of the Board of Directors are at-large positions; at-large members of the Board of Directors are chosen for staggered two-year terms, with terms beginning and ending each July 1. The seventh position on the Board of Directors is held ex officio by the Executive Director of the NWA.
